As expected, after the official poster release, more promotional material of “Rapture-Palooza” is coming out. Lionsgate released another still and a couple behind the scenes photos (only one featuring Anna though).
I’m pretty sure there will be more updates soon for both “Rapture-Palooza” and “Drinking Buddies” as the release dates of the films are getting closer.
Yesterday I was a bit bored so I made some icons with our recent “Pitch Perfect” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” captures. Feel free to use them in any forums or social network sites but don’t claim as yours (credit link back to us is always really appreciated).
Don’t forget that we are always open for more artwork! There are no good and bad pieces as long as they’re made with love and respect to Anna. If you want us to put your artwork here e-mail us!
And more “Drinking Budies” stuff are coming out! This time we have the first official poster of the film and some promotional outtakes of the cast with the director Joe Swanberg.
Kate (Wilde) and Luke (Johnson) are coworkers at a brewery who have one of those will-they-won’t-they friendships. Unfortunately, beyond uncertain chemistry, they are also each in a relationship. Kate is with Chris (Ron Livingston), and Luke is with Jill (Anna Kendrick). Jill wants to take their relationship to the next level, but Luke isn’t ready to commit … especially when he and Kate find themselves spending a weekend alone.
LA weekly posted an extended version of their interview with Anna as they weren’t able to include everything in the 2013 People Issue.
We profiled actress/singer/comedian/Twitter celebrity Anna Kendrick for our People Issue, but didn’t have space for everything.
Here are some of the best deleted bits from our interview:
On Twitter:
I find I get the most response from things that I’m kind of honest about. When I make full-out jokes that works sometimes too, as the Ryan Gosling Tweet proved.
But sometimes when I say something really honest, like I tweeted something about sometimes I wish I could wear sign around my neck that says, “Look, I’m pretty sensitive, can everybody just be cool?”…And I got an amazing response because it was, like, an honest thing where sometimes you’re just like feeling really vulnerable…
It kind of forces you to tighten things up, which I’m bad at. Anything that I’ve ever written is just so utterly rambling…Like when God forbid I have a misunderstanding with somebody, the email that I will send them is like a ten-page novel.
Anna is features in LA Weekly’s People 2013 issue. The article includes a beautiful new shot of Anna hopefully part of a huge photoshoot that we’ll get to see soon.
Anna Kendrick: She’s Just a Girl and She’s on Fire
From a booth at the restaurant Birds, actress Anna Kendrick eyes a TV commercial across the room. “How about that pocket hose, huh? It’s a little tiny hose and it gets big. It’s a real space-saver,” she says. “If you have a yard that needs watering, I think you’ve got enough space for a hose. Sorry.”
In addition to ridiculing infomercials over lunch in Franklin Village, Kendrick does many other things that adorkable, 27-year-old Angelenos are supposed to do — not because they’re cool but simply because she wants to. She frequents hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurants and art-house theaters like Cinefamily and the New Beverly, sometimes by herself. She uses Instagram, and Snapchat, the latter of which is perfect for celebrities since the images disappear in seconds. She obsesses over the hoarding phenomenon, even hanging out in the Reddit community devoted to discussing the gory details.
She’s done most things right in her career, too, rising to a level of welcome ubiquity that rivals Neil Patrick Harris and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, fellow actor-singer-dancer-comedians who are so likable and of-the-moment that they can do no wrong. Kendrick effortlessly bounces from a Twilight sequel to Joe Swanberg’s upcoming micro-brewing indie, Drinking Buddies, to the in-production film version of the cult musical The Last Five Years. Her solo in the a cappella movie Pitch Perfect — which involved a 75-year-old Appalachian folk song and a cup used as a percussion instrument, a trick she discovered via a video posted on, yes, Reddit — hit No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100.
We have the first still of Anna in “Drinking Buddies”! Anna and Ron (as Jill and Chris in the movie) are having a glass of wine on a pic-nic. Hope to start getting more really soon.
Hey everyone. I have some “Rapture-Palooza” related updates for you. First of all I added both trailers that are around in our video archive so if anyone was having problems watching them due to regional restrictions you can enjoy them here. I also made captures of the second trailer (first one was already done, you can check them here).
As release is getting closer we are starting to get some more stills and posters too. Sadly no official poster yet but some teasers posted on the official facebook page. Last thing I got is the official synopsis of the movie from Lionsgate production notes fact sheet:
When the Apocalypse actually happens and a billion people are raptured up to heaven, Lindsey (Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect) and her boyfriend Ben (John Francis Daley, TV’s “Bones”) are left behind in suburban Seattle. The young couple tries their best to lead a normal life surrounded by talking locusts, blood rain showers and pot-smoking wraiths. But when The Beast (Craig Robinson, TV’s “The Office”) makes his home base in their neighborhood, Lindsey finds herself the object of his affection. With the help of her family, friends and a lawn-mowing zombie neighbor (Tom Lennon, TV’s “Reno 911”), the young couple set off to stop the Anti-Christ from taking her as his bride…and just maybe, saving the world in the process.
