We have another short clip of “Rapture-Palooza” with Anna’s character Lindsay introducing her parents while they are having an unusual breakfast experience.
With so many movies spending so much time depicting various ways the world might end, the folks behind the comedy Rapture-Palooza (in theaters and on VOD June 7) had a different idea: What about a movie depicting how mundane the End Times could be?
“This is kind of the apocalypse at the end of your driveway,” says director Paul Middleditch (Separation City). “It’s a very familiar and domestic view of this so-called great, religious moment in history…in a very, very banal way. Which I think [is] key.”
More and more “Rapture-Palooza” stuff are coming out and this time we have some new stills and a clip. Hollywood.com posted some exclusive stills of the movie and EW shared an exclusive clip with Lindsay and Ben during a fire rock storm.
I added the full interview of Anna, Olivia, Jake and Ron with Young Hollywood back at SXSW Festival. The interview actually includes the first actual look in the movie with some really short clips. Can’t wait for the trailer!
Hey everyone. I have some “Rapture-Palooza” related updates for you. First of all I added both trailers that are around in our video archive so if anyone was having problems watching them due to regional restrictions you can enjoy them here. I also made captures of the second trailer (first one was already done, you can check them here).
As release is getting closer we are starting to get some more stills and posters too. Sadly no official poster yet but some teasers posted on the official facebook page. Last thing I got is the official synopsis of the movie from Lionsgate production notes fact sheet:
When the Apocalypse actually happens and a billion people are raptured up to heaven, Lindsey (Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect) and her boyfriend Ben (John Francis Daley, TV’s “Bones”) are left behind in suburban Seattle. The young couple tries their best to lead a normal life surrounded by talking locusts, blood rain showers and pot-smoking wraiths. But when The Beast (Craig Robinson, TV’s “The Office”) makes his home base in their neighborhood, Lindsey finds herself the object of his affection. With the help of her family, friends and a lawn-mowing zombie neighbor (Tom Lennon, TV’s “Reno 911”), the young couple set off to stop the Anti-Christ from taking her as his bride…and just maybe, saving the world in the process.
